Special Traffic Arrangements for the Royal Visit
Special traffic arrangements will be implemented territory-wide next week during the visit of Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.
Announcing details at a press conference today (Thursday), a police spokesman advised spectators wishing to attend the various events to make full use of public transport whenever possible in reaching vantage points on routes to be taken by the Royal visitors.
He urged spectators to exercise restraint and be considerate and courteous to children and the elderly in crowded places.

He also appealed to motorists to drive with care and patience. For the arrival of the Royal visitors on Tuesday (October 21), fairways in the harbour will be closed by sections between 8:50 am and 9:50 am to provide a free passage for the HNY Britannia.
In Central, certain roads including a section of Chater Road, Ice House Street, Jackson Road and Des Voeux Road Central will be closed from 12:01 am until noon for a ceremony at the Edinburgh Place and the City Ila 11.
