Mr Cheng was appointed Member of the Causeway Bay North Area C'ttee in 1972, Vice-chairman in 1975 and has been Chairman since 1977. Mr Cheng has also served on district-based c'ttees connected with community development, district welfare and government campaigns.

Mr Lam has been very active in community and youth services. He was elected a Special Councillor of the Heung Yee Kuk in 1977, the Permanent President of the Peng Chau Chamber of Commerce in 1978, appointed an unofficial member of the Social Security Appeal Board in 1981, elected Vice-chairman of the Peng Chau Rural C'ttee
He has in 1980, and Chairman of the same c'ttee in 1982. served on the Islands 'District Board since 1982. He is also the Senior Group Supervisor of the Islands Auxiliary Medical Service and Chairman of the Training C'ttee of the HK Scouts Assn., Chairman of the Islands District Girl Guides Assn., and a Director of the Cheung Chau Home
for the Aged.

Mr Ng has been a member of Kwun Tong District Board since April 1981 and has contributed significantly to the Board's deliberations. He also participates most actively in a wide range of non-District Board related activities in Kwun Tong District.

Mr Leung has been a City District C'ttee member since 1978 and Wong Tai Sin District Board member since 1981. He has been Chairman of the San Po Kong Industrial Area C'ttee since its inception in 1981. He also participates in a wide range of other public duties in the Wong Tai Sin District.
