NORTH POINT ZONING PLAN CHANGES PUBLISHED

AMENDMENTS TO THE DRAFT OUTLINE ZONING PLAN FOR NORTH POINT ARE PUBLISHED IN TODAY'S GOVERNMENT GAZETTE BY THE TOWN PLANNING BOARD.
THE AMENDMENTS INCLUDE THE REZONING OF A SITE AT OIL STREET FROM INDUSTRIAL TO +OTHER SPECIFIED USES+ ANNOTATED +COMPREHENSIVE REDEVELOPMENT AREA+ THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE INDUSTRIAL+ SITE ON THE NORTH-EASTERN CORNER TO SHOW THE LOCAL ROADS; AND THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE ALIGNMENT AND THE POSITION OF STATIONS FOR THE MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY.
IN ADDITION, A SET OF NEW NOTES TO THE PLAN HAS BEEN
INCORPORATED.
THE AMENDED PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE (EASTERN), 884-886 KING'S ROAD, GROUND FLOOR, HONG KONG, AND THE TOWN PLANNING DIVISION, 4TH FLOOR, MURRAY BUILDING, GARDEN ROAD, HONG KONG.
ANY PERSON AFFECTED BY THE AMENDMENTS MAY SUBMIT HIS OBJECTION IN WRITING TO THE SECRETARY, TOWN PLANNING BOARD, C/O LANDS DEPARTMENT, 4TH FLOOR, MURRAY BUILDING, GARDEN ROAD, HỒNG KONG.
COPIES OF THE DRAFT PLAN AVAILABLE AT THE SURVEY DIVISION OF THE LANDS DEPARTMENT, 5TH FLOOR MURRAY BUILDING, GARDEN ROAD, HONG KONG CAN BE PURCHASED AT $10 FOR AN UNCOLOURED COPY AND $60 FOR A COLOURED COPY.

RESIDENTS OF KAI YIP AND PING SHEK PUBLIC HOUSING ESTATES IN KWUN TONG WILL BE TREATED TO AN ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME ENTITLED +SUMMER PALACE 783+ TOMORROW (SATURDAY) AFTERNOON.
THE TWO-HOUR PROGRAMME FEATURING SINGING, QUIZ, GAMES AND FOLK SINGING PERFORMANCE BY A YOUTH GROUP, WILL BE HELD AT THE BASKETBALL COURT OF KA! YIP ESTATE STARTING FROM 2 PM. IT WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE ON RADIO TELEVISION HONG KONG.
THE ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME IS FUNDED BY THE KWUN TONG DISTRICT BOARD AND IS JOINTLY ORGANISED BY THE DISTRICT OFFICE, RTHK, THE PING SHEK-KAI YIP AREA COMMITTEE AND KAI YIP ESTATE'S MUTUAL AID COMMITTEES.
IT IS THE LAST OF A TOTAL OF 10 SIMILAR SUMMER RECREATIONAL EVENTS HELD IN THE URBAN DISTRICTS EVERY SATURDAY AFTERNOON SINCE LATE JUNE TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND INTEGRATION OF THE RESIDENTS.
