Mr Soong has been a member of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service since its inception
in 1979. He has also served on the Trade Development Council and the ICAC Operations Review Committee.

Mr Au joined the former Public Works Department as an electrical engineer in 1959. He was promoted to Government Building Services Engineer in 1971 and to Deputy Director of Electrical and
Mechanical Services in 1982.

Mr Newman joined the former Public Works Department as an engineer in 1954 and later served in Aden and Sarawak. He has been Deputy Director of New Territories Development since 1981.

Mr James Windrow Sweetran
Mr Sweetman joined the Hong Kong Civil Service in 1960,
He held many following previous service with the Malay Civil Service. administrative service posts in departments and in Government Secretariat Branches. He retired from the service in March whilst
holding the post of Director, New Territories Services.

Mr Patrick Anthony Ward, JP
Mr Ward joined the Hong Kong Government in 1960, following service in Kenya. He has spent most of his service in the former New Territories Administration and Public Works Department and has acted as
Director of Lands on several occasions.
