WATER BILLING EXPLAINED

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE REMINDED THAT WATER ACCOUNTS ARE ISSUED AND PAYABLE AT AN INTERVAL OF FOUR MONTHS.
THE BUSINESS MANAGER OF THE WATER SUPPLIES DEPARTMENT, MR TOM MCDONOUGH, TODAY (SUNDAY) SAID WATER ACCOUNTS ARE ISSUED TO REGISTERED CONSUMERS THREE TIMES A YEAR ON A 'STAGGERED' BASIS ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT DISTRICTS.
+THIS MEANS THAT CONSUMERS IN ONE DISTRICT ARE ISSUED WATER ACCOUNTS IN THE MONTHS OF JANUARY, MAY AND SEPTEMBER WHILE CONSUMERS IN ANOTHER DISTRICT ARE BILLED IN THE MONTHS OF FEBRUARY, JUNE AND OCTOBER AND SO ON.
+CONSUMERS SHOULD PAY THE IR WATER ACCOUNTS ON OR BEFORE THE DUE DATES SO AS TO AVOID SURCHARGES OR DISCONNECTION OF THEIR WATER SUPPLIES. THE PAYMENT DUE DATE IS SPECIFIED IN THE WATER ACCOUNT AND THIS IS NORMALLY ONE MONTH AFTER THE DATE OF ISSUE, HE SAID.
MR MCDONOUGH ADVISED CONSUMERS TO CALL AT OR TELEPHONE THE WSD'S CONSUMER ENQUIRY CENTRES IF THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE IR WATER ACCOUNTS AFTER A LAPSE OF FOUR MONTHS.
THE CONSUMER ENQUIRY CENTRES WILL ISSUE DUPLICATE WATER ACCOUNTS WHEN REQUESTED AND PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE AT THE CENTRES.
ENQUIRIES RELATING TO WATER ACCOUNTS MAY BE MADE AT ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CENTRES:
