ADDRESS BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR
TO THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT BOARD MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1982

District Board in the urban areas where Elected Members have joined
Appointed Members, Urban Councillors and Goverment officials on the
Board.

elected or appointed to advise has its own distinctive features. It

biggest supplier of fresh fish in Hong Kong and it has some of the

sector. Each of the main towns and settlements, Pok Fu Lam, Aberdeen,
the Bays, Stanley and Shek 0 is unique in its own way, and each will
require a different approach.

the auccess of the recent District Board elections. In the ten urban

reflects growing interest in the community in District Management.
