SIX NT SITES FOR AUCTION

THE NEW TERRITORIES ADMINISTRATION IS TO OFFER SIX SITES TOTALLING 22 256 SQUARE METRES FOR SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.
THE AUCTION WILL BE HELD AT THE SHOUSON THEATRE, HONG KONG ARTS CENTRE, ON NOVEMBER 27 (FRIDAY) STARTING AT 11 ÁM.
ONE SITE IS IN TAI PO, THREE ARE IN TUEN MUN AND TWO ARE IN YUEN LONG.
THE TAI PO SITE, MEASURING 5 204 SQUARE METRES, IS FOR NON-INDUSTRIAL USE AND IS IN WHAT WILL BE THE NEW TOWN CENTRE. THE PLOT RATIO FOR RESIDENTIAL AREAS IS 4.74 AND FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL AREAS 0.49. THE BUILDING COVENANT IS $32 MILLION TO BE COMPLETED WITH IN FOUR YEARS.
ANOTHER NON-INDUSTRIAL SITE, LOCATED IN THE FUTURE TUEN MUN NEW TOWN CENTRE, MEASURES 3 512 SQUARE METRES. IT HAS A FOUR-YEAR BUILDING COVENANT OF $45 MILLION. THE TOTAL FLOOR AREA OF
RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS TO BE ERECTED ON THE SITE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 17 560 SQUARE METRES.
ONE OF THE YUEN LONG SITES AND THE OTHER TWO TUEN MUN SITES ARE FOR INDUSTRIAL/GODOWN DEVELOPMENT.
THE YUEN LONG SITE, MEASURING 7 271 SQUARE METRES,
IS IN THE INDUSTRIAL AREA. THERE IS A LIMIT OF 36 355 SQUARE METRES ON THE TOTAL FLOOR AREA TO BE DEVELOPED AND THE BUILDING COVENANT OF $35 MILLION IS TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN FOUR YEARS.
BOTH THE TUEN MUN SITES ARE SITUATED NEAR SHEK PAI TAU AND MEASURE 1 630 SQUARE METRES AND 1 459 SQUARE METRES. THEY HAVE A MAXIMUM PLOT RATIO OF 9.5 AND THE BUILDING COVENANT FOR THE LARGER SITE IS $15.14 MILLION AND FOR THE SMALLER SITE $12.77 MILLION, BOTH TO BE FULFILLED WITHIN FOUR YEARS,
THE REMAINING SITE, IN YUEN LONG INDUSTRIAL AREA, IS FOR GODOWN PURPOSES. IT ALSO HAS A MAXIMUM PLOT RATIO OF 9.5 AND A FOUR-YEAR BUILDING COVENANT OF $29 MILLION.
