Mr. Andrew McKerracher QUINN
Mr. Quinn has served with dedication throughout, particularly as an officer in the Criminal Investigation Department, and for the past five years as an instructor of inspectorate students at the Detective Training School. In this latter field, his experience in criminal matters and his professionalism, coupled with enthusiasm and ingenuity in imparting his knowledge to younger officers, have proved effective. Officers from the Immigration and Customs and Excise Departments of Hong Kong and from various Asian Police Forces have also benefitted from his instruction in criminal law
and investigative techniques.
Mr. Richard Courtney SMALLSHAW
He
Mr. Smallshaw joined the British South African Police in 1955 and was transferred to the Nyasaland Police in 1959. left the latter force in 1964 to join the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. During his service in Hong Kong, he has been ADC to H.E. the Governor and has commanded Yaumati, Kwun Tong and Traffic Kowloon Divisions. He has occupied the posts of Chief Staff Officer, Administration in the New Territories District, Chief Staff Officer Auxiliaries and is currently Chief Staff Officer Traffic.
Mr. TANG Kwong-yee
Mr. Tang has been in the Marine Police since he was first appointed. During the influx of illegal immigrants and Vietnamese refugees he served in West Sector where over 400 vessels from China and Vietnam were intercepted, carrying some 4 000 illegal immigrants and 22 000 refugees. Mr. Tang played his full part in patrolling, frequently in adverse conditions.
