Dr. Li of the Matilda and War Memorial Hospital since 1976. has also served as a member of two Government bodies dealing with medical matters; the Preliminary Investigation Committee of the Hong Kong Medical Council from 1973-75 and the Medical Council itself since 1977 to date. In 1978 he was also appointed a member of the Medical Development Advisory Committee.

Mr. Peter Thomas MOOR, QPM, CPM, JP

Mr. Moor joined the Royal Hong Kong Police as a Sub-Inspector in 1949.

In 1971 he became Commandant of the Police Training School and in 1975 he was promoted to Assistant Commissioner, when he commanded the largest and most complex Police District. He was promoted to Deputy Commissioner in 1979. He is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Force and its 20 000 police personnel. This has been an arduous task, with the need to adjust tactics and personnel not only in taking normal anti-crime measures but also, until very recently, in countering large scale illegal immigration.

Mr. William Duncan Alistair TUCKER, JP

Mr. Tucker was first appointed in 1952 and worked as an Engineer in the Waterworks Office until 1961 when he was

Further Waterworks Office and became Chief Engineer in 1965. promotions followed culminating in his appointment as Director of Water Supplies in 1976. Mr. Tucker has made a significant contribution towards the supply and distribution of water throughout the territory. He assisted in removing the remaining obstacles standing in the way of the successful completion of the High Island Reservoir Scheme (the largest reservoir built in Hong Kong) and in 1979 he accompanied the Director of Public Works to China to conclude an agreement with the Authorities there which will ensure that Hong Kong receives sufficient water for some years ahead.
