Dr. Keith Leonard Charles LEGG, JP
Dr. Legg took up his appointment as Director of the Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1975. His term of office has seen a
rapid increase in enrolment. In the 1974-75 academic year there were some 3 000 full-time, 1 500 part-time day release and 13 500 part-time evening students. By the beginning of the 1979-80 academic year these figures had grown to 7 100, 3 300 and 15 000 respectively. The number of teaching departments has increased since 1974 from 11 to 17. The Hong Kong Polytechnic is now firmly established and is acquiring a growing reputation.
Dr. Legg has been untiring in his effort to raise the standards
of the institution and he has also made a distinguished public
contribution through his membership of a variety of boards and
committees, including the Board of Education, the Environmental
Protection Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Productivity
Council and the English Schools Foundation.

Dr. Henry Li is one of the most respected members of the medical profession, having been in general practice since 1948. He has been the Director of the Hong Kong Central
Hospital since 1962 and Chairman of the Board of Directors for two periods from 1967-1969 and from 1973 to the present.
During this period he was also the Medical Superintendent. has been elected to office in professional associations both internationally and locally, having been the Vice-President and
President of the International College of Surgeons (Hong Kong
Section) from 1965-1967, and Council Member, Hon. Treasurer
and President of the Hong Kong Medical Association in succession
in the years 1973-78. He has also been a member of the Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Medical Societies from 1972-78
and Vice-President since 1978. His other activities in the
