BY RAIN WATER AND TEMPORARY AWNINGS SHOULD BE REMOVED TO REDUCE WINDAGE. PERMANENT WOODEN AWNINGS ARE OFTEN VULNERABLE BECAUSE THE WIND CAN GET UNDER THEM AND RIP THE WHOLE STRUCTURE OFF, INCLUDING PARTS OF THE CABIN SUPERSTRUCTURE. COVERS SHOULD BE SECURED BY MEANS OF OVERALL ROPE LASHINGS, EITHER TO OR UNDER THE HULL-
