accepted and are being gradually implemented.

But the fact that in

several important respects the Government has responded positively

to suggestions made by the Federation and others is only the beginning. I suggest that now that Government has reviewed the extent to which

the process of diversification can be facilitated by the modification

of existing policies or the introduction of new policies, so it would

be timely for the Federation to review its ability to provide the complementary input to the activities which are going to result. shall now be looking more and more to the Federation for prompt and

reliable advice and assistance from "a strong, fully representative, uninhibited, non-sectional specialist organisation". I am confident

we shall not be disappointed.
