Mr Joseph CHENG Kwo-ping

Mr Cheng joined the Information Services Department in

1963 as an Information Officer; he was promoted to Chief Information

Officer, in the News Division, in 1975 and to Assistant Director/

News in 1979.

He is the first Chinese officer to have reached

Directorate rank in the Information Services and when he finally

retires he will be difficult to replace. His sound journalistic

experience and his ability to work efficiently and quickly under

pressure have provided a fine example to his staff.

Hr CHIs Chi-pei

Mr Chia began as an Assistant Community Development Officer

in 1956.

He is at present the Senior Executive Officer (Community

Relations) of the Community Information Unit in the Home Affairs

Department, responsible for expanding the department's liaison

base and for collating and assessing public feedback.

Mr LEE Nai-koo

Mr Lee served in the Fish Marketing Organisation for five

years mostly as a Market Manager before he joined the Government

in 1955.
