professional Signals Officer (mainly in the Armed Forces) and the application of his special skills to such good effect during his service with the Force
has been highly meritorious.

Mr. FUNG Yiu-ming
Mr. Fung joined in 1964 and was advanced to Senior Inspector in 1973. He has served both with the Uniform Branch and in the Criminal
Investigation Department, and currently is posted in the investigations and operations group of the Narcotics Bureau, where he has constantly displayed his professionalism and detective ability and repeatedly produced high grade, consistently accurate information. Among his many successes were the interception of a junk on which 1 636 kilogrammes of raw opium and 125 kilogrammes of morphine were seized, the interception of a Taiwanese trawler when some 371 litres of acetic anhydride were seized, and more recently, the discovery of 68 kilogrammes of heroin and 13.6 kilogrammes of morphine. In 1975 Mr. Fung was awarded a commendation from the Commissioner of Police. In 1977 and 1979 he received Governor's Commendations.

Hr. Peter Ernest HALLIDAY
Mr. Halliday joined the Royal Hong Kong Police Force in 1967
after serving with the Metropolitan Police for two years. He was promoted
to Superintendent in 1977.
