Mr. Fung has been in the Government service for 32 years.

As

a Senior Chargeman responsible for the supervision of park-keeping staff

in parks and playgrounds in the Central District, he has demonstrated

diligence, loyalty and ability in his work and has set a good example for

his subordinates to follow. For many years, he has been thorough,

conscientious and hardworking in a job covering prestige sites where any

shortcomings are likely to be immediately apparent.

Mr. Ho joined the Civil Aid Services as a volunteer in 1962.

He has an excellent record in both training of junior CAS members and in

operational duties. During his service he has undertaken many full-time

and part-time courses with a view to improving his knowledge and passing

on to new recruits the knowledge he has gained and he is a very reliable

lorry driver, radio-telegraph operator and a member of the Motor-cycle

Demonstration Team.

Miss Scarlett HC Siu-lan

Miss Ho first joined the Hong Kong Government as a temporary

typict in 1949 and rejoined, as a temporary clerk, in 1954. She served

in the Urban Services Department until 1964, when she joined the Textile

Controls Division of the then Commerce and Industry Department. She is

highly regarded by her colleagues and senior officers, and has shown

initiative and a ready willingness to take on additional work and

responsibilities.
