Since he took up the Chairmanship of the Kowloon Lok Sin Tong
Benevolent Society in 1975, the Tong has re-asserted its role as a
leading traditional charitable society serving the whole Colony rather
than a limited area of Kowloon.

Mr. YUEN Kwok-leung
Mr. Yuen joined the Hong Kong Government as a Probationary-
Health Inspector in 1957, transferred to the Social Welfare Department
in 1958 and in 1967 appointed Welfare Officer to the Royal Hong Kong
Police Force.
Mr. Yuen deals with the manifold welfare needs of the Force
of some 20,000 officers and dependants. He is charged with assistance in
administering the Force Welfare Funds and has been instrumental in greatly improving the welfare service provided to the Rank and File and Inspectorate and in fostering any projects including the Retired
Officers Association, recreation facilities and Force social events.

Mr. AU Kin-hung
Mr. U Kin-hung joined the Hong Kong Sea School staff in 1953
as Warden and Senior Member of the Chinese Staff and continues to hold
both appointments. He has also acted as Superintendent and is Honorary
Secretary of the Hong Kong Sea School Old Boys' Association.
Since Mr. Au joined the Hong Kong Sea School, sone 3,000 boys
from under-privileged families of Hong Kong have been prepared for service with the Hong Kong Shipping Industry, and over 90 per cent have
been found seagoing appointments. There can be no doubt whatever that
most of the credit for this belongs to him.
