Mr. Chan, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer, has served in many

sections of the Fire Service but mainly in operational duties in all areas

of the territory. He has always given of his best often under very trying

and dangerous conditions. His determination, officership and skill have

been responsible for the saving of many lives and considerable property at

countless fires and other emergencies over the 29 years of his service.

He is well respected by sub-ordinates and superiors alike as a

skilful and competent fire officer who can be relied upon at all times.

Air. Kenneth William HODGKINS

Mr. Hodgkins, Divisional Fire Officer, has been a member of the

Fire Services for 27 years having first joined in Britain in 1950, coming

to Hong Kong 17 years ago.

He has served in all branches of the service including operational

and fire prevention duties and throughout has demonstrated an exceptionally

high sense of discipline, diligence and determination.

His skill, leadership and determination at countless emergencies

in Hong Kong has contributed significantly to the saving of many lives and

considerable property from fire.

Mr. KWAN Sai-vių

Mr. Kwan has served with the Hong Kong Fire Service for 24 years,

rising to Divisional Officer. Throughout this service he has demonstrated

determination, devotion to duty and courage and his determination, leader-

ship and skill has been responsible for the saving of many lives and much

property at countless fires and other emergencies over the years.
