Mrs. Symons has been headmistress of Diocesan Girls' School
since 1953. She was a member of the Legislative Council from 1972 to
1976 and has been a member of the Executive Council since 1976. •
Mrs. Symons, who has a long and distinguished record of community
service, is a member of the Board of Education, Action Committee Against
Narcotics, three committees advising the Independent Commission Against
Corruption and other bodies, mainly connected with education.

Mr. Francis CRABB, E.D.
Mr. Crabb joined the Hong Kong Government service in 1940, but
was mobilized with the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps in 1941 and was
a prisoner of war until 1945 when he resumed his service. He served with
distinction in the Treasury since 1953, becoming a Treasury Accountant in
1960 and rising to Deputy Accountant General in 1972. He became Director
of Accounting Services in 1975. He has recently left Hong Kong on pre-
retirement leave.

Mr. Leslie William GORDON, J.P.
Mr. Gordon is a partner of a leading firm of accountants in
Hong Kong and a director of many leading companies. He has a long record
of public service.
Mr. Gordon is a former Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce,
and currently a member of the Trade and Industrial Advisory Board and of the
Hong Kong Trade Development Council and several other committees connected
with commerce and industry. He is also associated with the Community Chest,
Vice Chairman of the English School Foundation and President of the Hong Kong
Society of Accountancy.
