EACH ESTATE WILL PROVIDE A **MIX'' OF FLAT SIZES COMPRISING FULLY SELF-CONTAINED TWO-BEDROOM AND THREE-BEDROOM FLATS WITH LIVING-ROOM, KITCHEN, BATHROOM AND TOILET, PLUS A FULL RANGE OF FACILITIES.

ACCESS TO ALL FLATS MUST BE THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF EACH BLOCK AND THERE WILL BE A CLOSED-CIRCUIT T.V. CAMERA AND INTERCOM CONNECTED FROM THE ENTRANCE TO EACH FLAT, SO THAT A HOUSEHOLDER WILL HAVE TO RECOGNISE ANY WOULD-BE VISITORS BEFORE ADMITTING HIM OR HER.

IN ADDITION, RESIDENT CARETAKERS WILL BE EMPLOYED.

TRAINED STAFF OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY WILL PROVIDE FULL MANAGEMENT, MAINTENANCE, SUPERVISORY AND CARETAKING SERVICE AT A REASONABLE FEE.

THE OWNER WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH NORMAL CHARGES AS RATES, WATER, ELECTRICITY AND GAS, AND FOR DECORATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FLAT.

FOR CAR OWNERS, PARKING FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR RENTING.

THE HOME OWNERSHIP SCHEME HAS BEEN SET UP TO OFFER TO LOWER MIDDLE INCOME FAMILIES FLATS FOR SALE GENERALLY ON A NON-PROFIT- MAKING BASIS.

THOSE ELIGIBLE ARE:

1. ALL RELATED FAMILIES LIVING IN PUBLIC HOUSING ESTATES, PROVIDED THEY AGREE TO SURRENDER THEIR OLD FLATS ON MOVING OUT.

2. ALL RELATED FAMILIES LIVING IN NON-PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION WHO HAVE A COMBINED MONTHLY FAMILY INCOME OF NOT MORE THAN $3,500, AND WHO HAVE LIVED IN HONG KONG FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS.

THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES ARE NOT QUALIFIED 1

1. OWNERS OF POST-WAR DOMESTIC PREMISES.

2. ANY PERSON WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR OR ACTUALLY RECEIVING

ASSISTANCE FROM HIS EMPLOYER TOWARDS ACQUIRING HIS OR HER OWN DOMESTIC ACCOMMODATION.

3. ANY PERSON WHO IS NOT PERMITTED TO LIVE PERMANENTLY IN

HONG KONG
