EXTENSION OF CLEARWAY AND INTRODUCTION
OF PLS RESTRICTED ZONES
The Transport Department is to extend an urban clearway in Tsuen
Wan and introduce several PIB restricted zones in Kwai Chung with effect from
10: a.m. on Saturday (October 1) to improve the traffic flow in these two areas.
In Tsuen Wan, the existing clearway on Tai Wo Hau Road from its
junction with Texaco Road to a point about 590. feet to the east will be extended
further east up to a point about 700 feet from the junction.
No vehicles, other than franchised buses, may stop to pick up or set
down passengers or to load or unload goods along this section of Tai Wo Hau
Road between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.
In Kwai Chung, the following sections of roads will be designated
PLB restricted zones from 7 a.. to midnight daily as from Saturday :

Hing Fong Road between Kwai Foo Road and Tai Wo Hau Road,
Kwai On Road between Eing Fong Road and Tai Lin Pai Road,
Kwai Fou Road from its junction with Hing Fong Road to a point
about 130 feet east,
The slip road south of Kwai On Road leading from Kwai Chung
Road to Kwai On Road, and
The slip road north of Kwai On Road leading from Kwai On Road
to Kwai Chung Road.
Public light buses will be prohibited from stopping on the sections
of roads to pick up or set down passengers.
Appropriate traffic signs will be set up to guide motorists.
