lir. Sterling joined the iledical and Health Depart.ent as ospital
Secretary in 1950 and has risen to the rank of Chief Hospital Secretary in
1969.

During this period he has been Secretary of nearly all the major
Government hospitals in Hong Kong, and has been responsible for the plai
equipping and comissioning of all new hospitals and clinics (in particuler
the Queen Alizabeth Hospital in 1961 and the Princess largaret Hospital in
1975).

Mr. Albert Edward SHAVE, S.P.M., C.P.M.
Kr. Shave joined the Royal Hong Kong Police Force as a Sub-Inspector
He was promoted to Assistant Commissioner in 1971 and to his present
rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner in 1974.
in 1950.
He has served in Districts as well as Headquarters, in the Folice
Training School, the Police Training Contingent (now Police Tactical Unit)
and in the Traffic Branch.
He retires this year.

Mr. TAN Sze-sui
Hr. Ten joined the Government in 1949 and was appointed Assistant
Registrar in the Registrar General's Department in 1956. He was promoted in
1964 to his present rank of Senior Assistant Registrar.
He will retire this year after 28 years of outstanding service.
