Mr. Shum Wai-you, O.B.E., J.P.

Mr. Shum is the Managing Director of the Overseas Chinese Daily News Limited which publishes the Wah Kiu Yat Po and the Wah Kiu
Man Po.
He has been active in community activities for many years. He was the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Quadrennial Conference of the Corronwerth Press Union in 1974.
He is the Hon. President of the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, a Director of the Hong Kong Anti-Tuberculosis Association, and a Member of the Board of Governors of the New Asia
College.

Dr. Solonca Matthew Bard, M.B.E., E.D., J‚P
Dr. Bard has been in charge of the Hong Kong University Health Service since 1956. His two main fields of commanity involverent have
been the Hong Kong Archaeological Society and the Hong Kong Philharmonic
Society.

With the Archaeological Society, he has been the driving force to keep it active and in glose association with the Urban Council's
Museum of History.
With the Philharmonic Society. (and its orchestra), he has
for over 27 years been a leading violinist, conductor and administrator.
