There will also be a commercial complex providing shops
and shop stalls to meet requirements for the reprovisioning of the
existing shop tenants and hawkers in the estate. Other facilities
will include a department store and supermarket, kindergartens,
primary and secondary schools, cooked food stalls and a carpark with
about 380 parking spaces.
Aside from Chai Wan (West) Estate, redevelopment work is also
going on at Shek Kip Mei, Tai Hang Tung and Tai Wor Hau. These
estates will change dramatically as the years go by while at the same
time tenants living condition will also be greatly improved.
