Shun Lee Tsuen Estate, the home of 66,000 people on
completion in the early 1980s, has been comprehensively planned, completed with its own essential ancillary facilities for educational,
commercial and social activities. Systems of elevated walkways will
be provided to connect various parts of the estate with the estate's
commercial centre.
Ngau Chi Van Estate occupies a 40-acre site on both sides of
Clearwater Bay Road. Due to the contours, a number of platforms at
differing heights has been formed for the building of housing blocks.
The two levels of the estate will be linked by elevated walkways over
Clearwater Bay Road.
In line with the present day estate planning concept, there
will be a large commercial complex and a welfare building.
There will
be four primary schools and a same number of kindergartens. Ngau Chi
Wan Estate will house 60,000 people on completion in 1979.
