"You are strongly advised to pay the new rent in full
either by cash or by cheque on the rent day. Payment must be
made in the usual manner, i.e., in person to the Housing Department
staff or by post to your estate office where an official receipt
will be issued immediately. Under no circumstances should rents
be paid through unauthorised persons.
"The Housing Department will not accept rents at the old
level, and will not accept rent payments through other organisations,
nor be responsible for payments made to unauthorized agents.
"In your own interest, you should pay your rents at the
new rate in full to the Housing Department staff on the day due.
Failure to do so would constitute a breach of your tenancy conditions
which could place your tenancy, and all the privileges that go with
it, at risk."
