Dr. Kenneth Charles Searle

L

Dr. Searle, a respected Corresponding Member of the Zoological

Society of London, has been the Honorary Curator of the aviary in the

Botanic Gardons since 1957. Since then he has built up the aviary, in

many instances from his own generosity, into a large and internationally

known collection, possibly the best in Asia. The outstanding succoss

of this aviary is due almost entirely to his enterprise and unremitting

care, applied during his spare time.
