Dr. Choa said if the bill became law, certain amendments would

have to be made, as a consequence, to two sets of subsidiary legislation

the Prevention of the Spread of Infectious Diseases (Cancellations)

Notifications 1974, and the Prevention of the Spread of Infectious Diseases

(Amendment) Regulations 1974.

These amendments would relate to the new list of scheduled

notifiable diseases, the definition of the term "infectious disease," and

the payment for a notification made to the doctor concerned without the

need for a special application to that effect.
