GOVERNOR PAYS TRIBUTE TO COMMUNITY LEADERS

The Governor, Sir Murray MacLehose, today paid tribute to Hong

Kong community leaders.

Speaking at the annual spring reception held at the Peninsula

Hotel, Sir Murray described the parts they played in community work during

the past year as intensive and fruitful.

"If the community as a whole works with one purpose, a great deal

can be achieved," he said.

"I am glad to be here with you this evening at this annual Spring
