"The regulations will become effective on January 1, 1974. This
will give quarry proprietors sufficient time to take steps to meet their

NEW MEMBER FOR COMMISSION OF INQUIRY
Mr. Alex Wu is away from Hong Kong at present and is therefore
unable to serve on the three-man commission of inquiry into the recent oïl
leakage at Aplichau.
Mr. Peter P.K. Ng, Urban Councillor, J.P., has been appointed to
serve on the commission in Mr. Wu's place.
The other two members of the commission are Mr. W.S. Collier,
District Judge, (Chairman) and Professor S. MacKey, 0.B.E., J.P.
