PROPOSED SEWER OUTLET AT KWUN TONG

An underwater sewer outlet is to be built off King Yip Street

in Kwun Tong to cope with the increasing sewage output of the area.

It will reach 2,500 feet into the harbour from the King Yip

Street seawall to enable better dilution and dispersion of sewage effluent

and to minimise pollution of in-shore waters.

The exact boundaries of the area of foreshore and sea bed re-

quired for the work are fully described in a notification in the

government gazette.

Persons having any objections to the proposed works, or any

claims of private right in the matter, should hand in such objections or

claims in writing to the Director of Public Works within two months of

the date of notification.

The notification, in English and Chinese, can also be seen on

the notice board near the site.
