TRANSPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE LOOKS AT MINI-BUS FARES
The Financial Secretary, the Hon. C.P. Haddon-Cave, told the Legislative
Council today that the question of controlling public light bus fares is
being re-examined by the Transport Advisory Committee.
Until the government has received and considered the committee's
further advice, Mr. Haddon-Cave said there was nothing more he could say at
present.
He was replying to a question from the Hon. Wilson Wang who asked
whether the government would take steps to control the fares in view of the
increases imposed from time to time by mini-bus operators.
