VEHICULAR FERRY SERVICE BETWEEN KWUN TONG AND NORTH POINT
Ferry Berth To Be Built In Kwun Tong
The Government intends to build a ferry berth in Kwun Tong for
a new vehicular ferry service between Kwun Tong and North Point.
The proposed berth will be situated at the Kwun Tong seawall,
alongside the breakwater currently under construction.
This follows the Government's approval of an application by the
Hong Kong and Yaumati Ferry Company to operate the service, which is expected to
improve the present traffic congestion in Kwun Tong.
A Notification, to be published tomorrow in the Gazette, fully
describes the boundaries of the area of seabed that will be affected by the project,
Those objecting to the proposed work or having any claims of private
right in the matter should submit such objections or claims in writing to the
Director of Public Works within two months of the date of Notification.
The Notification, both in English and Chinese, can also be seen
on Notice Boards posted near the site.
