CAMPAIGN FIGURES FOR FOURTH WEEK

A total of 13,529 doses of the combined anti-diphtheria and tetanus

vaccine was administered during the week ended November 4, according to

statistics released today by the Medical and Health Department.

Of these, 1,134 doses were administered on the Island, 3,547 in

Kowloon, and 8,848 in the New Territories.

In the four weeks since the routine campaign began on October 9,

a total of 64,552 doses has been administered,

The campaign will continue for the rest of the year, Free vaccine

is available at all government maternal and child health centres and clinics.

NEW PLAYGROUND FOR NGAU TAU KOK

A new playground has been built in Ngau Tau Kok area in Kowloon to

provide additional recreational facilities for residents living in the area,

An area of about 10,000 square feet, located at the Jumotion of

Ngau Tau Kok Road and Chun Wah Road, has been developed into a juni basketball

court and a recreation area with park benches and flower beds.

The area was formerly the old Ngau Tau Kok Market. The playground,

built at a cost of $100,000, has already been opened to public use.
