UTILIZATION OF 1972 COTTON QUOTAS
An Export Authorisation Scheme will come into operation on
November 1, 1972 to enable companies holding 1972 cotton quotas to effect
shipments of woven polyester cotton textiles to the United Kingdom for
the period up to December 1, 1972.
The Director of Commerce and Industry has issued a Notice to
Exporters, Series 1 (Britain), No. 20/72, regarding the operation of the
Scheme.
Trade associations and companies on the Commerce and Industry
Department's mailing list for Notice to Exporters, Series 1 (Britain),
will receive copies of the notice shortly.
Persons who wish to receive advance notice of the contents are
invited to contact the following officers of the Commerce and Industry
