Statistics released today by the Medical and Health Department
for the week ending on September 23, 1972 are as follows:-
Notifications of infectious cases (previous week's figures
total 218 (170); bacillary dysentery 7 (11); chickenpox
4 (1); tuberculosis 187 (147); diphtheria --1 (nil); enteric fever
in brackets)

Births
total registered 1396; 394 on Hong Kong Island,

380 from all causes; 81 on the Island, 284 in
Kowloon and 15 in the New Territories.
