SEAWALL TO BE BUILT WEST OF MACAU FERRY WHARF
To Enable Further Reclamation To Be Carried Out
A seawall will be built shortly to the west of the Macau
Ferry Wharf to enable further reclamation to be carried out in the
Central.
The seawall forms part of the Central Reclamation Stage V,
which will, upon completion, provide more than 15 acres of much
needed land.
It will be used for widening Connaught Road West and
Connaught Road Central as well as building development and open space.
About 60,000 square feet of the land will be reserved for
a public temporary cargo-handling area.
Construction of the seawall is expected to begin next month
and should take about three and a half years to complete.
