QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY HONOURS
Services Of Many Recognised
The services of many Hong Kong residents
are recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List
to be published tomorrow (Saturday).
They include community leaders, civil servants
and members of the military services.
A list of recipients of the honours is contained in a special supplement to today's (Friday) Daily Information Bulletin, copies of which are dis- tributed in the Press Boxes, Government Information
Services along with the military list.
The announcement regarding the Honours List is being made simultaneously in London at 2330 hours G.M.T. today, June 2.
Publication is permitted in Hong Kong nowspapers
tomorrow (Saturday) morning, but no news agency or
overseas radio transmission of the announcement may carry the information without the embargo qualification.
The news may be broadcast from 7 a.m. onwards over the local radio and television stations tomorrow.
On NO account should any of the recipients
of Honours be contacted for interviews or for information relative to their careers or be approached in any way
in connection with their awards before these have been
publicly announced.
