FIRST GOVERNMENT LOTTERY THIS YEAR

Tickets On Sale

Tickets for the first Government lottery this year, the 47th in

the series will be on sale this Monday, May 15.

The winning numbers will be drawn three weeks later on Saturday,

June 3, at 10 a.m. in the City Hall Concert Hall.

Tickets are still at $2 each. They may be bought at The Hong Kong

and Shanghai Bank, the Chartered Bank, the Dao Heng Bank, the Hang Seng Bank,

the Overseas Trust Bank, the Hong Kong Chinese Bank, the Kwong On Bank, the

Liu Chong Hing Bank, the Shanghai Commercial Bank, the Wing On Bank, the

Bank of East Asia, the Mercantile Bank, the Hong Kong Industrial and

Commercial Bank, the Commercial Bank of Hong Kong, the Wing Lung Bank,

and ferry piers of the Hong Kong and Yaumati Co.

As in the past, there will be 56 prizes and for every 1,000 tickets

sold, one special prize of $100.

The first prize will amount to 30 per cent of the total proceeds,

and each of the five second prizes will amount to two per cent. There will

be 50 prizes each worth 0.3 per cent of the total proceeds.

A special three digit number will be drawn and every ticket which

has this number as its last three digits will win a special prize.

The winning numbers will be published in an extraordinary issue of

the Government Gazette on June 5, and the prizes will have to be claimed

within two years from that day.
