oconomic and commercial problems. He is Chairman of the Banking Advisory

Committoo, Chairman of tho Board of Inland Revenue, Chairman of the Board of

Directors of the Widows and Orphans Ponsion Schomo, Chairman of the Exchange

Fund Advisory Committee, Momber of the Court of the University of Hong Kong,

and has boon an Official Justice of the Peace since 1946.

The Hon. K.S. Kinghorn

Mr. Kenneth Strathmore Kinghorn is Chairman of the Urban Council,

Director of Urban Services and Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Authority.

He has served as an Official Member of the Legislative Council since 1961 and

has been an Official Justice of the Peace since 1953. Born in Hong Kong, he

was educated at Dollar Academy and at St. Andrew's University and Cambridge

University. He joined the Colonial Administrative Service in 1939 and was

District Officer, Northern Rhodesia from July, 1939 to June, 1948. He saw

war service from 1939 to 1944 and came to Hong Kong in 1948. He served in the

Colonial Secretariat from 1948 to 1952 and was appointed Assistant Director

of Commerce and Industry in 1953. He was Deputy Commissioner of Labour from

1956 until his appointment as Commissioner of Labour and Commissioner of

Mines in July, 1959. In November, 1960 he was appointed Chairman of the Urban

Council, Director of Urban Services and Chairman of the Housing Authority.

He is a Member of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries Board of Management, a

Member of the Hong Kong Examination Board for the Royal Society of Health,

and a Member of the Town Planning Board.

Dr. the Hon. P.H. Teng, 0.B.E.

Dr. Teng Pin-hui is Director of Medical and Health Services and has

been an Official Momber of the Legislative Council since September, 1963.
