following month he was promoted to Class V Clerk. He was in China during
the war years and resumed duty in September, 1945 in the Telecommunications
Branch of the General Post Office. He was promoted to be a Class IV Clerk
in October, 1946 and to Class II Clerk three months later when he was
seconded to Cable and Wireless for a short period. In March, 1949 he was
posted to the Royal Hong Kong Defence Force, Mr. Leung, who was promoted
to Class I Clerk in July, 1953, is due to retire in October, 1963.
