States that the suggestions in No. 85 will be borne in mind, and that when a suitable officer is available efforts will be made to utilize him..

States, in reply to No. 85, that the Executive Committee does not see its way to adopt the proposal made:

Reports consideration by the Advisory Board of the Report and Accounts presented in Nos. 74 and 89, and requests that the amendments specified may be made.

the suggestion made in No. 85, and pro- poses the establishment of a Medical Research Institute at Lagos.

Acknowledges receipt of No. 85, and proposes to insert £100 in next year's estimates in furtherance of the pro- posal made.

Explains why the proposals in No. 85 cannot be acted upon at present, and requests re-consideration of the pro- posal made in his despatch of May 8.

Requests that a summary of receipts and expenditure of contributions for malarial research up to the date of the account being closed and balance transferred to the Tropical Diseases Research Fund may be prepared for submission to the Audit Office, and that accounts of the receipts and expenditure of the Board may be rendered annually.
