The Order for condemnation was appealed against, and after pre- liminary hearing by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, the appeal was settled on the basis of the taking of the ship being regarded as a case of re- capture. The ship was accord- ingly released against the pay- ment of prize salvage.

A recent Press report indicates condemnation of these vessels, but there is no confirmation

up to the present from an official source.

Sold locally, 25th February, 1915.

This vessel was eventually released to the Standard Oil Company.

The proceedings in this case were remitted to the London Prize Court and the Order for con- demnation was made in the latter Court.
