Suggests discussion by an interdepart. mental conference of the desirability of changing the existing system of preservative liquidation of German houses in Hong Kong and the Straits Settlements into one of complete winding up.
Requests a report on the statements (1) that German goods marked **Made in
Holland" are being shipped to the Dutch East Indies for distribution, (2) that Mr. A. Bume comparatively recently acquired about a half share in two British vessels, (3) that the Manager of the Deutsche Asiatische Bank, who should have been interned, is now in Shanghai, energetically look- ing after German interests, and (4) that the firm of Ulderop and Schulter is bankrupt, and the deficit should be provided out of the funds of Jebsen & Co.
