The above Bill, entitled the Supreme Court Ordinance 1914, is to apply to the Colony and Protectorate and, when passed, will repeal the Northern and Southern Nigeria legislation referred to above.
Has no Supreme Court: the Resident Commissioner is vested with the
authority of a Judge for the purposes of certain Imperial Acts. Both the Resident Commissioner and any Assistant Commissioner are
empowered to hold a Court.
These officials are appointed by the High Commissioner in the name
and on behalf of Her (His) Majesty.
