DEAR MR. Cowell,
No. 43.
DR. A. G. BAGSHAWE to MR. COWELL.
(Received 2nd May, 1914.)
[Answered by No. 45.]
Dr.
Tropical Diseases Bureau, Imperial Institute, London, S.W.,
1st May, 1914. THE delay in the obtaining of information about the microscopes for the book-worm campaign is due to Dr. Shipley's having written to Dr. MacCallan, who is conducting a similar campaign in Egypt. I have seen Dr. Shipley to-day and send you details of the instruments which MacCallan recommends. Shipley proposed that we (he and I) go and see these instruments, and, if we I am writing to ask if we are authorized to order approve of them, order them. them, and if so how many; we can probably get a reduction in the price if a good number are wanted. It appears that the more expensive instrument would cost £21 88., and the less expensive £6 38.
H. R. Cowell, Esq.
Yours sincerely,
ARTHUR G. BAGSHAWE. -
