six Students in the States:-Mr. A. H. Ritchie, Mr. E. Speyer, Mr. II. G. Champion, Mr. C. B. Williams, Mr. G. H. Corbett, and Mr. E. Hargeaves; and Mr. F. Dry will out for six months early next year. The unexpended balance in the Carnegie

go Fund on the 30th September was £778 4s. 11d., and it is estimated that our liabilities for the remainder of the current year are about £520, leaving a balance of £258. The grants already made for 1915 will amount to a little over £1,000.

Accounts-A statement is appended showing the receipts and expenditure for the six months under consideration. The items are mostly self-explanatory, but it may be mentioned that the expenditure on scientific equipment includes the pur- chase of three microscopes at a cost of £60 10s.; the item for "Office furniture" is accounted for mainly by the purchase of furniture for Mr. Neave's office in Elvaston Place and an additional typewriter; the chief item under “Travelling expenses" is Dr. Lamborn's passage to Nyasaland, costing £51. At our last meeting sanction was given for the payment of £25 a year for Mr. Neave's office, but this was secured at an offer of £15, so that our yearly rental for the Elvaston Place premises is now £115 Attention may be drawn to the sum of £5 which was generously presented to us, through Dr. Bagshawe, by a lady who prefers to remain anonymous.

A statement is also submitted setting forth our general financial position.
