The Ordinance, No. 5 of 1911, makes it illegal to destroy the eggs of the protected birds.
The Provincial Secretary of the Cape of Good Hope adds that the Administrator will consider to what extent it may be possible to co-operate in the object which His Majesty's Government has in view by amendment of the above enactments, and that at a later date he will communicate further in the matter, when it is possible to (decide definitely upon the measures which, for this purpose, should be recommended
to the Provincial Council.
With regard to the Transvaal, Ministers have the honour to state further that the Provincial Administration will take action with a view to the better protection of wild bird life in that Province.
