Downing Street, 5 March, 1913. letter of the 24th of Febrnary,* transmitting a copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Agent and Consul General at Cairo reporting that the Egyptian Government are desirous of participating in the benefits of the organisation of the Committee which is encouraging the development of entomological research in the British Empire, and that they are prepared to subscribe a sum of £50 per annum towards the expenses of the Committee.
2. In reply to the enquiry in the second paragraph of Lord Kitchener's despatch, I am to request you to inform Secretary Sir E. Grey that the contribution from the Egyptian Government should be paid annually to the Crown Agents for the Colonies in London on the 1st of April, commencing with the 1st of April, 1913, to be credited to the account of the Committee.

WITH reference to the letter of the 12th instant from this Office,† relative to the work of the Committee for the Development of Entomological Research in the British Colonies and Dependencies, I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to transmit to you herewith copy of a further despatch from His Majesty's Agent and Consul-General at Cairo reporting that the Egyptian Government are also desirous of participating in the benefits of the organisation and making, on their behalf, an enquiry similar to that already made on behalf of the Government of the Sudan.
