DEAR MR. BERRIEDALE KEITH,

I HAVE the pleasure to send you herewith the usual annual statements of account in regard to the Special Departments of the London School of Tropical Medicine.

In regard to protozoology, you will observe that there is no charge for board. This is occasioned by the fact that Dr. Wenyon was away nearly the whole of the year in Bagdad. I have not yet rendered a statement of account in regard to this expedition to Persia for the purpose of investigating the connection between Oriental Sore and Kala-Azar, as Dr. Wenyon is returning to Aleppo to continue his investigations. It may be more convenient to you that I should submit the statement when the research is complete.

In regard to helminthology, the balance varies from the amount printed on page 50 of the enclosed Annual Report* of the Seamen's Hospital Society to the extent of £7 7s. 11d. This is occasioned by a sum of £7 7s. 11d. for books being debited to the account which I have had transferred to the special grant account.†

• Not reprinted. ↑ NOTE. The account was subsequently amended so as to include this item.
