Transmits copy of a book of lantern lectures on India; explains the object with which they were prepared; en- quires what are the wishes of the Governments of the Union of South Africa and of Canada as to the adapta- tion of the lectures.

States that the High Commissioner is of opinion that the questions raised in No. 86 should be deferred until the South African Delegates to Education Conference reach London, when the matter can be discussed with them and the Education Minister.

States that his price for making copies of any of the paintings would be four guineas each; asks for permission to use eight of the paintings in a book on India which he is preparing for Mr. Werner Laurie.

Acknowledges the receipt of No. 86, a copy of which is being transmitted to New Zealand; enquires whether the sets of slides asked for in 1904 are now obtainable separately.
